Indiana Yoga Association - Teacher Training

Information on Teacher training programs in Indiana. If you have a teacher training program you'd like posted here, e-mail the webmaster with the details. NOTE: The intention of this page is to give a brief introduction to your teacher training program. Please keep your submission short and make sure to provide a method (web site, phone number) where people can find out more.

NOTE: The Indiana Yoga Association provides this listing as a service to member and non-member teachers alike. A listing here does not imply an endorsement by the Association. Potential students will want to ask teachers about their training, length of time teaching, style of yoga., and anything else that seems relevant. We suggest, since the student-teacher fit is an important aspect of yoga study, that students take one or two classes before making a lengthy or expensive commitment.

CITYOGA 500 - Comprehensive and Flexible Yoga Alliance Based 500-Hour Teacher Training Certification

CITYOGA 500 builds upon the basic 200-hour Yoga Alliance registry curriculum. It provides an additional 300+ hours of training to deepen personal practice and advance teaching skills. Students with a 200-hour certification from any Yoga Alliance registered school or who are currently registered at the 200-hour level with Yoga Alliance are eligible to apply.

Designed much like graduate work at a university, this modular, rather than intensive format allows students to schedule and structure the training in a way best suited for them. The curriculum consists set of core requisite courses, augmented by electives. Core courses are offered a minimum of 2 times per year and you can sign up at any time. Once your training begins, there is no time limit to complete. Electives are fulfilled through independent study or workshops and intensives held at CITYOGA or other locations. Students in the 500-hour program are eligible to receive transfer credits for electives taken at other locations.

More information is available at the Cityoga web site.
